Getaround GBFS feed
Getaround is a car-sharing marketplace where private owners and professional fleets rent out their cars. This feed covers only cars fitted with Getaround Connect, which drivers can find, book and unlock with the Getaround app, without meeting the owner.
The feed is a snapshot at the time of the request. It lists only cars that are available at that moment, so a car that is booked, unavailable or switched off by its owner does not appear. Consumers should poll the feed regularly rather than treat a single response as the full fleet.
Data is published using the General Bikeshare Feed Specification (GBFS), version 3.0. The entry point is a manifest that lists one GBFS system per Belgian municipality (about 500 systems, for example getaround_brussel, getaround_antwerpen, getaround_gent). Each system covers a city and its surroundings and exposes four files:
system_information: operator name, timezone (Europe/Brussels), support languages (including nl-BE and fr-BE), rental app links and brand assets. vehicle_types: make, model and year, propulsion type (petrol or diesel), seats, number of doors, gearbox, equipment (air conditioning, cruise control, navigation, winter tyres and so on), estimated CO₂ emissions, maximum range and a photo. vehicle_status: the position (lat/lon) of each available car, its estimated remaining range, and deep links to book it on the web, Android or iOS. system_pricing_plans: an indicative average price per hour and per day for each car, in EUR.
Important notes for reuse
Cars must be returned to where they were picked up (return_constraint: roundtrip_station). There are no stations or docks. Each car is parked at its owner’s chosen location. Prices are averages for information only. The actual price depends on dates, duration, mileage and options, and is shown in the Getaround app at booking. Remaining range is an estimate, not a live reading from the car. Each car has its own vehicle type and pricing plan, linked by matching IDs.
